About Me

Hi, I'm Philip Lawrence. I'm a full stack engineer with a decade of experience specializing in digital analytics. I love developing tools and solving complex problems in the analytics world. I'm currently based in the suburbs of Phoenix, AZ as the Director, Analytics Innovations at Acronym, a digital marketing agency.

I've been fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of clients, including large brands that are Fortune 500 and 100 companies, down to the smaller mom & pop shops that need help but don't always have the budget. I handle the entire tech spectrum, from the strategy of a new tag manager implementation, to building out complex personalization strategies in UX testing tools.

I love being outdoors, especially if I can hike or camp out under stars. I'm an avid cyclist, both on and off the road. My wife says I hoard too many bikes, but I'm just following the N+1 rule (The definition according to Velominati: “While the minimum number of bikes one should own is 3, the correct number is N+1, where N is the number of bikes currently owned.”)

Projects

I love contributing back to the community via open source projects. Here is just a sample of my project list:

  • Omnibug - A browser extension that helps decode requests made to various marketing & analytics providers
  • Laravel Maintenance Mode - A Laravel 5 package to enhance the out-of-the-box maintenance mode
  • X-Forwarded-For Header - A browser extension that lets you easily spoof your X-Forwarded-For header
